He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory M. Klahre and Ida M. Klahre (Ferguson); his wife Marjorie L. Klahre (Snyder); his granddaughter Heidi Klahre; and his sister-in-law Norma Jean Klahre.

He is survived by: his son Kenneth R. (Sandra); his grandchildren, William Klahre, Travis S. Klahre (Elizabeth), Alisha R. Klahre, Brianne (Brent Brennan) and Laura B. (Anthony Montoya); his great grandchildren, Ian Klahre, Betsy Brennan, Jayden Ryland, Isaac Klahre, Gabriel Montoya, Blake Brennan, Belle Brennan, Jonathan Montoya, Brooklyn Montoya, Carter Cook and Eli Montoya; his siblings, Ray C. Klahre and Joan M. Hedrick (Floyd); and his sister-in-law Iva Jean (John Price).
