She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Smith and Clara Smith (Roberts); and her siblings, Mary Smith, Pauline Mearkle, Wayne Smith, Grant Smith, Donald Smith, George Smith and Doris Smith.
She is survived by: her husband William E. Rice; her great grandchildren, Bryan Heath, Brandon Heath, Coltin Rice, Cassandra Smith, Raelyn J. Lowery, Maygan Davis, Anecia Woolcock and Rhiannon Woolcock; and her sisters-in-law, Betty McMurtrie and Jane Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
