He is survived by: his parent Dorothy L. Byers (Long) of Clearfield; his children, Samuel D. Gearhart (Olivia) and Lydia Gearhart; his siblings, Dan E. Gearhart (Betsy) of Clearfield, William H., Willie, Betsy A. Guthrie (Randall) of Mineral Springs and Carrol S. Davis (Gary) of Spring Grove; his brother-in-law Jim Graham of Aurora, CO; and his close friend Dori Pickens.
