She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roy Hess and Martha Alverta Norris Hess; her husband Charles M. Skillington; and her siblings, Anita Abbott, Roy J. and Thomas L. Hess.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles "Chuck" R. (Maureen) of Titusville, FL, Gary L. of Hanover and Richard M. (Carol) of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
