He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Garito and Anna Garito (Rose); his father-in-law Ralph Hoover; his niece Jennifer Galio; and his brothers-in-law, Lee Conklin, Bob Erhard and Tim Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Debra A. Garito (Hoover); his daughter Tracie Grimm (Joe); his stepsons, Michael Garito (Tara) and Brian Garito (Megan); his siblings, Jeanette Conklin, Mary Heller (Bob), Mae Galio (Don), Phyllis Galio (Jim), Sandy Erhard and John Garito; his mother-in-law Josephine Hoover; his grandchildren, Jared, Ember Grimm, Aaron, Eric, Joseph Garito, Madilyn and Joelyn Garito; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Owen Lee Garito. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
