He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley R. Thompson and Mary Thompson (Richards); his wife Bette Thompson (Buck); and his siblings, John 'Bud Thompson, Richard 'Dick Thompson and Dorothy 'Dot Kelly.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey J. Thompson (Linda) of Clearfield, Kate A. Thompson of Clearfield and Matthew A. Thompson (Jo) of Clearfield; his grandchildren, Jeffrey 'Bucky J. Thompson II (Melissa), Jodi E. Thompson, Aaron M. Williams (Nikki) and Allison M. Cossick (Tommy); his great grandchildren, Hayden M. Williams, Ruby A. Cossick, Wiley B. Cossick and Thomas Q. Cossick; his brother Sylvester 'Pete Thompson (Maggie); and his close friend Rosemary McCorkle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
