He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Shirey and Pearl E Shirey (Stiner); and his fiancée Jennifer. He is survived by: his former wife Phyllis Bloom (Shoffner) of Morrisdale; his mother-in-law Dorothy Shoffner of Morrisdale; his children, Tamera Martell (Henry), Pearl D Stiner (Brian), Peggy Smith (Butch) and Barry Jr. Shirey (Jackie) of Frenchville; his grandchildren, Kennita, Jessica, Barry, Henry, Tiffany, Christopher, Alyssa, Josalyne, Gentry, Logan and Riley; and his siblings, Pat Rainey (Jerry), Bill Shirey (Jenny), Larry Shirey (Carla), Tom Shirey (Helen), Hilda Buck, Richard Shirey, Ferd, Boyd, Raymond Shirey, Thelma Smail and Beverly Shirey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
