James left this world on September 14, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Reed and Clara Marie Shriver Richmond; his spouse Shirley J. Moore; and his grandson Jason Brent Richmond. He is survived by: his sons, Robert J. "BJ" Richmond (Patty) of Wilmington, NC. and Michael J. "Mike" Richmond; his close friends, Darla Wood of Claysville and William J. "Jay" Richmond (Michelle) of Washington; his grandson Nicholas Richmond (Lesley) of Willow Spring, N. C.; his great grandchildren, Taylor and Averi Richmond; and his brothers, Thomas "Buck", Robert "Bud" and Norman "Sonny" Richmond.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Claysville United Methodist Church.
