He is survived by: his children, Dianne and David Tanner of Vermont; his stepchildren, Rebecca, Barry, Elizabeth, Rachel Sweet and Barbara Sweet; his grandchild Whitney Lewicki; his great grandchildren, Ben Dryer, Lydia Szklinski, Wesley and Theo Sweet; and his sister Reita Havreluk of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
