With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Gashel of Claysville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 1, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Gashel and Lillian Montgomery Gashel; his brothers, Kenneth and Louis Gashel; his niece Linda Gashel; his nephew Barry Gashel; and his brother-in-law Gary Whiteman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barb Garst (Dale) of Maryland, Beth Green (Jerry) of Pennsylvania, Patty Penland of North Carolina and Lori Sampson (Howard Jr.) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Katie, Eli Garst, Jared, Josh Green, Lauren, Derek Penland, Austin and Allison Sampson; his brothers, Ray Gashel of Claysville and Wilbur Gashel (Brenda) of Washington; and his brother-in-law Edward Whiteman (Judy) of Washington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
