He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Cavender and Edna P. Cavender (Diehl); his wife Nancy Walter; and his son Michael E. Cavender. He is survived by: his daughter Tracy Dehoff; and his grandchildren, Michelle Webb (Jeff), Peter Dehoff and Matthew Dehoff (Laura).
