With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Helsel of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 2, 2020 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Helsel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Helsel and Ella Helsel (Imler); his brothers, Eugene "Moxie" and Thomas Helsel; and his son-in-law John Burket.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Ickes; and his daughters, Debra Burket (Mark Talasky) of Altoona, Diana Kidd (Chris) of Claysburg and Cathy Musselman (Ron) of Arizona. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg Food Bank.
