We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2025, at the age of 49, Chad D. Barnes of Claysburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Chad's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leroy Barnes (Judy Lightner) and Rita Kephart (Custer); his daughter Samantha Kreider (Adam) of Roaring Spring; his grandchildren, Nora, Calvin and Lyndel; and his siblings, Carrie McCabe (Todd) of Martindale and Jamie Barnes of Blue Knob.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mt. Hope United Church of Christ (845 Knob Rd, Portage, PA 15946). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given the Mt. Hope Church, Blue Knob.
