He was predeceased by: his sister Susie Joy Pulivarti; and his daughter-in-law Leigh-Lani Nathaniel. He is survived by: his wife Mabel Nathaniel; his children, T. David Nathaniel (Sunny), T. Michael Nathaniel (Kantha Gardner) and Thangarani MacNeal; his grandchildren, Alyssa Nathaniel, Raja MacNeal, Jacob Nathaniel, Connor Nathaniel, Deva MacNeal and Ziva MacNeal; his siblings, Dr. Phillip Nathaniel (Putty), Dr. Cathie Purushothaman (Nathan) and Leela Unnikumaran (Uni); and his siblings-in-law, Sathias Chelliah (Felicia) and Beulah David (Emerson). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
