She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse James Berens; her parents, Gustave Frederick and Jesse Luce Smith; her sibling Frederick Smith; and her children, Judith B. Miller (Richard) of Pittsford, N. Y., John R. Berens (Linda Keeler) of Toms River, N. J. and James R. Berens (Christine Gregory) of Clarksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Church of the Epiphany.
