The son of Jack and Beatrice Z. Frazier, he is survived by his wife, Pamellia (Reeves), and their children, Ian, Owen (Marsha) and Bronwyn Frazier-Miller (Ben); his four grandchildren, Trent, Wyatt, Annabelle and David Gavin; and his brother, William (Beverly); sisters, Beatrice Jane (John) Engelmann and Elaine (Joseph) Fent.
Jack was born in 1944. He received an MS in history from Marywood University, MS in elementary administration, University of Scranton, 1975; and superintendent letter of eligibility, Marywood, 1996.
He served as 1st lieutenant, United States Army, in the Adjutant General Corps from 1965-67 and in the 402nd Military Police from 1967-70.
As a teacher and administrator, he guided the lives of hundreds of students over the course of 38 years in Lakeland School District, Scott Twp., where he also served as a track official and sports announcer.
He was an avid student of history, especially concerning the American Civil War, and enjoyed bringing his children to as many museums and Civil War battlefields as he could. He was docent at the Anthracite Heritage Museum, Scranton, from 2006 to 2019, where he was awarded "Volunteer of the Year" in 2010.
He was a member of the Dietrich Radio Players, and was active in Freemasonry for 50 years, becoming a 33rd degree Mason in 2010, and was also a Shriner. His other hobbies included cross-country running, marksmanship (rifle and pistol), hunting, fishing, bird watching, golf, baseball, and bowling, for which he won many awards.
When asked what he was most proud of, Jack wrote: "Raising a family with my wife, Pamellia; two sons, Ian and Owen; and daughter, Bronwyn. I have no complaints. I served five years in the U.S. Army fulfilling my father's wishes that I become an 'Officer and a Gentleman,' and my boyhood dream, that of teaching. I met many fine people from all walks of life along my journey and I owe it all to God, my family upbringing, great teachers and the University of Scranton.". Friends may pay their respects to Jack's family on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
