He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne Finkler Dingee; his wife Marjorie McDonnell Dingee; his parents, Roy Dingee and Sarah Tripp Dingee; and his siblings, Robert Dingee, Leroy "Johnny" Dingee and Marion Hackman.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Manglaviti of Tunkhannock, PA and Emmett Dingee, Jr. (Gretchen) of Clarks Summit; his grandchildren, James Dingee of Falls, PA, Adam Boettcher, Brian Dingee, Megan Dingee, John Manglaviti IV, Amanda Dingee, Joshua Dingee and Bradley Wagner; his great grandchildren, Anna Munyat, Aria Boettcher, Avery Boettcher and Graham Wagner; and his stepchildren, Frank McDonnell III of West Chester and Louise McDonnell of Clarks Summit. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Countryside Community Church.
