It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth McHale Mears of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward McHale and Margaret Wright McHale; her husband Arthur Mears; her son Frank Mears; her grandson Matthew LaFontaine; and her siblings, Edward, Millard, Jerome, Romayne Anderson and Frances Shepherd.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy LaFontaine of Clarks Summit and Arthur (Karen Mears); her daughter-in-law Renee Mears; her grandchildren, Michele Lafontaine, Erich Sitko, Nicole Mears, Marcy, Ted Ebersole, Mark and Tammy Mears; and her sister Virginia (Bob Savage). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home (418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Newton Cemetery.
