We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2021, at the age of 89, Donald Dembert of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Florence Frank Dembert and Sander Ellsworth Dembert; his grandparents, Emma Kleeman Frank, Samuel E. Frank, Rose Salsburg and Sol Dembert; his children, Heather Dembert Rafter (John Rafter) and Harley Frank Dembert (Amy Wessan) of Tarrytown, NY; his stepson Michael Nelson (Madelaine Saldivar) of Wayne, PA; and his grandchildren, Alex, Jackson, Emma Laura Rafter, Lydia Dembert, Sarah, Vivian and Luke Nelson.

“I am still grieving Don's passing. He was my very very closest friend in our youth. As youngsters, we were inseparable. I cannot count the number of times and instances we shared together over quite a number of years of our youth. His Mom, Dad, sister, and Grandmother were so kind and accepting of me. For years they would pick me up at my house on Ash Street in Scranton and go to their lakehouse at Chapman's Lake as we were still below driving age. Long ago! I have always missed you.”
