Valsa Pattara Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valsa Pattara of Clarks Green, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ulahanan Thoppil (John) and Aleyamma Thoppil (Elizabeth); her husband Varghese Thomas Pattara; her children, Beena, Thomas Pattara (Beena), Theresa Pattara of Alexandria, VA and Elizabeth Schuster (Chad) of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Varghese Pattara and Adelaide Bodhi Schuster; her sister Santha Thomas Chunkapurackal (Thomachan) of Kochi; her siblings-in-law, Joseph Erat of Baton Rouge, LA, George Vallicad of Bangalore, India and Rosamma Thomas of Syracuse, NY; and her siblings, Dr. Mary Joseph, Dr. Joseph Thoppil and Lalitha Vallicad. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Interment will be private at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be scheduled at a future date when COVID transmission risks have subsided.
In keeping with Valsa's commitment to charitable giving and education, in lieu of sending flowers, the family prefers that donations be made in her memory to Regina Dominican High School, 701 Locust Rd, Wilmette, IL 60091, where Elizabeth Schuster is currently President and where a memorial fund has been established in Valsa's name.
