She was predeceased by: her father Harold McNutt; and her siblings, Helen Aschman, Violet Duff, Maurice McNutt and William McNutt.
She is survived by: her mother Verlie McNutt; her husband James H. Parkes; her children, Cindy Smathers (Jeff), James M. Parkes (Shelly), Timothy Parkes (Carolyn) and David Parkes (Deborah); her grandchildren, Kory Smathers, Tiff Sturgeon (Spencer), Caleb Parkes, Rachael Parkes, Emilee Parkes, Keri Rapp (Casey), Isaac Parkes, Deanna Parkes and Dalina Parkes; and her sister Janet Hearn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
