He was predeceased by: his parents, Oran Confer and Ruth Confer (McBride); and his siblings, Merle A. Confer, Richard G. "Dick" Confer and Margaret Confer.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Confer (Donna) of Templeton and Chlorise Trayer (Rich) of Rimersburg.
