He was predeceased by: his parents, William Morris and Margaret Grimm Morris; and his brothers, Lee Morris and Robert Morris. He is survived by: his children, John Morris, Jr. (Bobbi) of State College, Tracie Kriebel (Gary) of Clarion and Gina Batts (Adrian) of Irwin; his grandchildren, Jordan Batts, Julian Batts, Josh Kriebel, Alexa Kriebel, Matthew Morris, Jack Morris, Stella Morris and Gionna Batts; and his siblings, James Morris, Peggy Smith, Betsy Meier, Joe Morris and Linda Franklin.
