She was predeceased by: her brothers, Horace Smathers, Byron Smathers, Eunice and Lorene. She is survived by: her parents, James Earl and Cora Eaker Smathers; her spouse Paul E. Hindman; her niece Catherine Mire (Ted); and her nephews, Rodney Smathers (Carole) and Jerry Smathers (Max).
