He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Staley and Charlotte Barton Staley; his former wife Thelma Williams; his sons, Jack Staley and Charles Swartzlander; and his siblings, Lena Herron, Joe and Larry Staley.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy DeArment; his children, Kandi Tharp (Danny) of Clarion, Rona Lou Schake (Mel) of Brush Valley, Rick Staley (Cindy) of Miola, Linda Bauer (Steve) of Texas, Beverly Cassone of Tennessee, Terry Swartzlander (Sharon) of North Carolina, Julie Novak (Tony) of North Carolina and John Swartzlander (Lynn) of Virginia; his daughter-in-law Tonya Swartzlander of Clarion; his siblings, Doris Grothenthaler (Chuck) of Chambersburg and Lowell Staley of North Carolina; and his sister-in-law Carol Staley of Farrell. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; and thirty-three great grandchildren.
Social distancing protocols will be in place and masks are required.
