She was predeceased by: her father Ralph Zimmerman; her husband Lawrence "Cush" E. Thornton; and her siblings, Martha Stetler, Betty Whitcomb, Richard Zimmerman and Shirley Fry.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie L. Hale (Edward) of Strattanville; her sisters, Dolores Stoner of Mechanicsburg, Nancy Jumper of Mechanicsburg and Linda McClintock of Mechanicsburg; her sister-in-law Barbara Zimmerman of Enola; her grandchildren, Tammy Kreisle (Jason) and Eric Hale (Andrea); and her great grandchildren, Zachary Hale, Kiersten Hays and Sara Kreisle.
