He was predeceased by: his father Robert W. Elliott; his stepdaughter Christine Buchholz; and his siblings, Robert (Mary), John Elliott, Naomi Hetrick (Reed), Lida Schwabenbauer (Jim) and Patricia Wolbert (Dennis).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Elliott; and his nephew Robert F. Elliott. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
