He was predeceased by: his father R. Byron Smith. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ellen Smith; his siblings, Bruce Bradford Smith of Sandy Springs, Georgia and Barbara Ellen Smith Funk (Eric, Sr.); his niece Jessica; his nephew Eric, Jr. of Shippenville; and also Chris Van Dyke (Heidi) of Bethel Park.
