She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ewing and Phyllis Esler Ewing; her spouse Thomas R. Messer; her children, Robert Messer and Lorna "Sis" Lomack; her brothers, John, Patrick and Michael Ewing; her sons-in-law, Jeffrey Dauer and John Lomack; her grandson Clint Lomack; and her pet Tessa.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Messer (Mindy), Thomas Messer (Neva), Timothy Messer (Susan), Karen Dauer and Heidi Miller (David); her son-in-law Kenneth Peth; and her pets, Maggie and Molly. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchild.
Her family suggests memorial donations be made to either St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or the ASPCA which were both favored causes of Mrs. Messer.
