He was predeceased by: his former wife Lillian Knapp (Snow); his wife Helen Knapp (Sweitzer); his daughter Trudy Knapp; his brother Dennis Knapp; and his grandson Justin Knapp.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Knapp of Jamestown, NY, Randy Knapp (Jan) of St. Cloud, FL, Dave Knapp of Havelock, NC, Jim Knapp of Wellsville, NY and Bruce Knapp; his uncle Frank Knapp of Warren, PA; his siblings, Thomas Knapp (Dorothy) of Sugar Grove, PA, Arden "Bucky" Knapp (Linda) of Warren, PA, Karen Johnson (Milton) of Scandia, PA and Evelyn Jones of Richmond, VA; and his former wife Mary Jane Bennett-Swanson of Lakewood, NY. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
