He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Keith and Erna D. Atkins; his wife Ardith McCool Atkins; his stepson Michael Albaugh; and his brother-in-law Arthur Bailey.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Diana Bailey of Warren, PA.; his niece Diane Stromdahl; and his nephews, Dwayne Bailey, William Bailey, Arthur Bailey and Corey Bailey.
