He is survived by: his children, Heather Carpenter (Timothy) of Warren and Frederick Scott Hartman of Warren; his siblings, Marian Hartman of Russell, Richard Hartman (Patricia) of Rhode Island and James Hartman (Elena) of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Christina Wilson, Alyssa Hartman, Syed Cameron Islam, Syed Carson Islam and Kalista Carpenter. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
