He was predeceased by: his father William A. Johnson; his stepfather Art Olson; his brother-in-law Jim Neall; his nephew Ryan Johnson; and his cousin Heidi Teconchuck.
He is survived by: his mother Peggy Olson (Johnson); his wife Dong; his children, Shelly Fitch of Russell, PA and Brian Johnson Nashville (Kaitlyn); his grandchildren, Ariana, Nolan Fitch and Blake Johnson; and his siblings, Wendy Spicer (Scott), Randy Johnson (Stacy), Terri Neall (Jim), Brenda Johnson and Jennifer Mead (George).
