Margaret J. Hafer Obituary

Margaret J. Hafer, 79, of Clarence passed away at her daughters home in Clarence on Friday, August 18, 2023. Margaret was born in Bellefonte on August 27, 1943, the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Marie (McClellan) Bryan. She was married to Thomas Butler, who preceded her in death on November 22, 1989, she then married James Hafer who preceded her in death in September, 2019. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Kevin) Struble of Clarence; her brother, Ben (Judy) Bryan of Milesburg; her seven grandchildren, Kenneth Myers, Carlie Myers, Jason Butler, Amanda Butler, Dale Butler, Thomas Butler, Andrew Butler and her 11 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and her husbands she was preceded in death by her sons, Frederick Butler, Matthew Butler and her brother, Les Bryan.

Margaret was a homemaker. She was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, bird and butterfly watching. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
