He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Basalla and Mary A. Basalla (Kirko); his siblings, Joseph Basalla Jr. and Pauline Verbiak; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Granite, Joseph Verbiak and Winnie Basalla.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rose Granite of Clarence, Janie Davidson (Paul) of Bellefonte, Patsy Holden (Ken) of Philipsburg and Robert "Mickey" Basalla (Verna) of Port Matilda. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in David's memory may be made to the Clarence American Legion Honor Guard Post 813, P.O. Box 342, Clarence, PA 16829.
