He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillips and Suzanne Phillips (Praschak); and his siblings, Helen, Mary Sedor, Elizabeth "Betty" Montgomery, Susan Paul, Margaret Hunnell, George and Charles Phillips.

He is survived by: his brother John Phillips (Barbara) of Alta Loma, CA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
