He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Steiger and Alice Steiger; his sister Mary Elliot; and his son Robert. He is survived by: his son William; his wife Carol; his son Richard Steiger (Julie); his sister Alice Kilian (Phil); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian), Holly, William (Lindsey) and Allison; his great grandchildren, Taryn, Christopher, Ella, Ava and Bryson; his great great grandchild Ivy; and his great grandchild Liam Michael.
In lieu of flowers, William would want you to express your love to those you value, as he would often do, especially in his final years.
