She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas E. Rice and Elsie I. Rice (Reinhart); her spouse Elam R. Hess; and her son Michael E. Hess. She is survived by: her son Thomas M. (Faye Hess) of Christiana; her grandchildren, Amy Stackhouse of Parkesburg and Neal Hess of Parkesburg; her stepgrandson Troy Hiatt of Providence Twp; and her sisters, Frances Urban of Mountville and Barbara Vest of Wakefield. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandchild.
