He was predeceased by: his wife Helen P. Nixon; and his parents, Raymond Lytle Nixon and Ruth Newhauser Nixon Pickel. He is survived by: his children, Richard (Linda Sizemore Nixon) of Belfast, Thomas (Dana Nixon) of Quarryville, Timothy Nixon of Gap, Matthew (Traci Thompson Nixon) of Conway, S. C. and Beth (Robert Norris) of Young Harris, G. A.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
