He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Harnish and Alberta Laisure Harnish; his daughter Tina Parsons; his grandson Jacob; and his brother John Harnish.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Price Harnish; his children, Ronald E. Harnish II (Patty) of Butler and Rhonda L. Gibson (James) of Chicora; and his sister Sandy Kepple of Karns City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
