He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Shoemaker and Sadie Young Shoemaker; and his former wife Barbara Neidermeyer Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Chicora; his children, Curtis Shoemaker (Sherry), Tammy Wooten (Donald) and Debbie Laskey (George); his grandchildren, Leah, Jordan, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Benjamin, Matthew, Elizabeth and Katherine; and his siblings, Rosalie Bowers (Paul) and Frank Shoemaker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
