He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley W. Simpson and Isabel M. Wenner Simpson; and his siblings, Janet Simpson Preston, Charles Thomas and Stacie Lynn Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Inez R. Evans Simpson; his son Steven J. Simpson (Kelli) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and his sister Diana Steffan of Butler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
