He was predeceased by: his father George Ion; and his stepfather Howard Barger. He is survived by: his mother Joan Cousins Ion Barger of Karns City; his daughters, Taylor K. Stanton (James) of Kittanning, Brooke Wetzel of Kentucky and Laura Saravo (Ed) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Landyn Crissman, Trevor Stanton, Ariel and Max Saravo; and his siblings, Bishop Alan J. Ion (Jackie) of Parker and Sonya J. Bell (Joseph) of Chicora. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, step-siblings and friends.
