He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Freiters and Anna B. Otto Freiters; his son-in-law James Maley; and his siblings, Bertha Jane Freiters, Barbara H. McCollough, Henry W. Jr., Ludwig and Arnold H. Freiters.

He is survived by: his wife Donna J. "Sis" Craig Freiters; his children, Jennifer N. Maley of Butler, Fredericka "Freddie" L. Painter (Daniel) of Merle's Inlet, SC, Kevin D. Freiters (Beverly) of Dubois, George A. Freiters (Deborah) of Bruin and Tracy L. Stivason (Karl) of Chicora; and his brother Charles A. Freiters of Chicora. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Freiter's memory may be made to any veterans charity.
