He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Black and Eva Mae Welton Black; his wife Evelyn L. "Babe" Waltman Black; and his siblings, Howard, Kenneth Black, Marie Snyder and Doris Anthony.
He is survived by: his children, Donald L. Black (Susan) of Chicora, Raylene E. Woznick (Keith) of Johnstown and Kevin J. Black (Misty) of Chicora; his grandchildren, Donald J. "DJ" Black (Amy) of Birmingham, AL, David M. Black (Amanda Bodnar) of Sarver, Stephen C. Black (Lauren) of Mars, Kristen Woznick Carr (Justin) of Lake Jackson, TX, Lauren E. Woznick of Lake Jackson, TX, Brian K. Woznick of Chattanooga, TN, Lindsay N. Black and Logan A. Black of Chicora; and his great grandchildren, Bennett Black, Brooks Black and Mason Carr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
