It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard P. Grotefend of Cheswick, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Grotefend and Marie Krisch Grotefend; and his son Michael "Mickey" Grotefend. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Amelia Grotefend; his son Charles Grotefend (Tracy); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Joshua Grotefend and William Grotefend (Nicole Santilli-Grotefend); and his great grandchildren, Cavin and Brayden Kindler.
