He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Elkins; his sister Brenda O'Brien; and his mother Freda Elkins. He is survived by: his children, James Elkins (Deborah), Chrissy N. Elkins-Celesti (John) and H. Celesti; and his sisters, Patricia Lopinto and Ann Barnett. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Ltd. (930 Center Ave, Blawnox, PA 15238). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or Light of Life Rescue Mission.
