He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wimbush and Hester Reavis Wimbush; and his brothers, Marvin Henry and Derrick Wimbush. He is survived by: his children, James S. Wimbush III, LaKeisha S. Wimbush and Jahneaya S. Wimbush; his sister Judith; his brother-in-law Ted Silverman; his brother Steven Wimbush; his niece Martina Wimbush; his nephews, Marvin and Dane Wimbush; his sisters-in-law, Laura and Audra Wimbush; his aunt Shirley Brown; and his uncles, Hubert "Ed" Wimbush and Ernie Brown.
