With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James John Scanlan (Chester, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Kate (Sina Ghassemi), Adam (Audra), Ian (Fallon Wagner) and Jean; his parents, Daniel Jim and Dorothy Jim; his wife Gena Smith; and his children, Thanksgiving, Easter Egg Hunts, Fourth of July and Gena.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the James J. Scanlan Scholarship Fund at Drexel Neumann Academy, 1901 Potter St., Chester, PA and/or The West Catholic Preparatory High School, 4501 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19139 in Jim's name.
