She is survived by: her husband James Fowlkes; her children, James Fowlkes Jr., Michael Fowlkes (Evelyn), Mark Fowlkes, Glenn Fowlkes (Vashti) and Edna Peterson; her brother William Simpson (Carol); and her close friend Mary Yvonne Hicks. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
